Stability – The LAVA Network

With 10 affiliates and more than 150 coaches and admins working within its bounds, the LAVA network is one of the largest club volleyball organizations in the country. Size brings stability and stability brings flexibility—in our ability to seek partnerships, control costs, think outside the box, and generate new ideas, all of which in turn creates value.

Integrity – Volleyball Done Differently

LAVA is committed to setting a course and navigating a path with the highest ethical standards of behavior. We strive to do differently—and better—in every aspect of our enterprise, and work hard to ensure our players, parents, and families understand and follow our example, and subscribe to our motto of Volleyball Done Differently.

Tangibility – The Value of LAVA

Stability and integrity are important elements of a positive club culture—most people, however, are also looking for tangible benefits, things they can actually reach out and touch or see. LAVA adds tangible value to its Revolution program: knowledgeable coaches, structured training, approachable and experienced admins, informative manuals, interactive websites, recruiting systems, etc. At Revolution, LAVA comes to the Antelope Valley.

Dear Revolution Parents and Players,

It is with deep regret that we announce Revolution Volleyball Club will not be able to move forward prior to the Club Tryouts weekend for the 2014-15 season. Despite the tireless efforts of LAVA administrators and several helpful parents, we were unable to secure gym space after calling more than twenty possible site locations in the Palmdale, Lancaster, and Quartz Hill areas. Unfortunately, we found ourselves with very little time going up against long-standing contracts with basketball leagues, city sponsored activities, and high school and middle school athletic sports. I knew this was going to be a tough challenge given that we were informed with specific tactical purpose on the Monday of Labor Day, just five weeks prior to the tryouts, that we are losing the gym time.
This is not the end of Revolution Volleyball Club. We will be back for the 2015-2016 club season, back and even better than we have been in previous years. Still, while we will still be working to find gym time and put some Revolution programs together for coming months, we will not be able to hold tryouts and form teams at this time. For all those seniors who have been with us for some time, this is especially heart-breaking.

However, there is a silver lining. As you know Revolution is an affiliate of the Los Angeles Volleyball Academy (LAVA), and LAVA is a large organization with many resources. We have two locations within our network in the northern Los Angeles county area, which would be viable options for your daughters’ upcoming club season. We hope you will seriously consider these options as viable alternatives for your daughter while Revolution manages its way through this difficult transition period.

# – LAVA North offers competitive national travel teams for girls ages 11-18 based in Santa Clarita, with gym facilities at the Santa Clarita Athletic Club, Velocity Gym, and Canyon High School. Several top players from the Antelope Valley already call LAVA North their home. Please click HERE for the LAVA North Tryout Flyer.

# – Locals North Volleyball Club (also known as LAVA Locals North) is a limited-travel, low-cost option based out Canyon High School (off the 14 freeway located at 19300 Nadal in Canyon Country). The coaching is excellent and the program very popular, and the price is significantly lower than our national travel teams. Please click HERE for the Locals North Tryout Flyer.

We apologize for not being able to secure enough gym time to keep Revolution going in advance of the Tryouts. We will keep striving, however, and will be back next season, if not before. We will keep all of you posted on our progress as things unfold. If you do not wish to be kept in the loop regarding Revolution’s progress, please let me know. Additionally, if you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me at the numbers below.

We thank you for your commitment to Revolution Volleyball Club and the LAVA family. We hope to see all of you at our LAVA North tryouts in a couple weeks … or even better yet back in a Revolution gym working hard at some point soon.
